What is pump.fun?
pump.fun is a Solana app where anyone can create a meme coin in under a minute, with no platform fee. Every coin trades from its first second on a bonding curve, then graduates to pump.fun's own exchange, PumpSwap.

How pump.fun works
- Create. You give your coin a name, a ticker and a picture, connect a Solana wallet and approve one transaction. pump.fun's program creates 1 billion tokens at a brand-new CA. There's no platform fee, no presale and no team allocation.
- Trade on the curve. 793.1 million tokens sell on a bonding curve, a price rule where every buy raises the price and every sell lowers it. Anyone can trade from the first second, the creator included.
- Graduate. When the curve sells out, at about 85 SOL for a coin paired with SOL, pump.fun moves that SOL and the other 206.9 million tokens into a pool on PumpSwap.
- Trade on PumpSwap. pump.fun's own exchange. The coin trades against its pool from then on, and keeps its page and chart on pump.fun.
Most coins never graduate. They fade on the curve, and their holders are left with tokens nobody wants to buy.
The stock market version
Picture a stock market where anyone can list a new share in a minute, with no IPO, no bank and no checks, and trading starts the second it lists, at a price a formula sets. That's pump.fun, for meme coins. It's why thousands of coins launch there every day, and why most of them go nowhere. In the language of crypto, it's a launchpad: it creates coins and runs their first sale.
What a trade costs
Creating a coin is free, apart from the network fee and a small deposit for the coin's accounts. Trading isn't. Every trade pays a fee, split between the coin's creator, pump.fun and, on PumpSwap, the pool. How much depends on where the coin trades, how big it is, and which app you trade in.

On the curve, every trade pays 1.25%: 0.30% to the coin's creator and 0.95% to pump.fun. pump.fun's app adds its 0.45% platform fee.
Who earns from a trade
- The coin's creator. 0.30% of every trade on the curve. On PumpSwap, up to 0.95%, falling as the coin grows. A creator can send it to the coin's holders instead, as holder rewards.
- pump.fun. The protocol fee on every trade, the platform fee on trades in its app, and 0.015 SOL when a coin graduates.
- The pool. On PumpSwap, the LP fee goes back into the coin's pool, so it grows as the coin trades.

Is pump.fun safe?
pump.fun's program rules out the oldest tricks in crypto:
- No presale, no team allocation. The creator gets no free tokens. A creator who wants some buys them on the curve, like everyone else.
- A fixed supply. Every coin starts with 1 billion tokens, and nobody can mint more.
- No pulling the liquidity. On the curve, the SOL sits in pump.fun's program. After graduation, it's in a pool the protocol owns. The creator can't take either.
- No changing the coin. Its name, ticker and picture are fixed at launch.
What it can't stop is people. Anyone can launch anything, including copies of real coins called vamps, so get the CA from the project itself. Creators and early buyers can buy big and sell all at once, which is how most rug pulls on pump.fun work. And most new coins go nowhere, so trade with money you can lose.
Where notrandom.fun fits
We're a launch tool for pump.fun, not a launchpad. We grind a CA that starts with your word, so buyers can tell your coin from copies at a glance, and we build the launch you approve once in your wallet. pump.fun creates your coin, and it trades on pump.fun from its first second, with its own pump.fun page. Here's how to create a coin on pump.fun, on pump.fun's site or ours, and what a custom CA on pump.fun gets you.
