How to get a custom CA on pump.fun

A pump.fun CA is your coin's mint address, and it comes from a keypair made for the launch. To pick it, grind a keypair whose address spells your word, then launch with it as the mint. You can do both yourself, or we grind it and you launch right here.

What a CA is on pump.fun

On Solana, a token doesn't get a contract of its own. Every pump.fun coin runs on pump.fun's program, and its contract address is really its mint address: the public half of a keypair created for the launch. Whoever holds that keypair can create a token at that address, once.

Keypairs are random, so the address is random too, unless someone grinds it: generates keypair after keypair until one matches a pattern.

Why pump.fun CAs end in pump

pump.fun grinds its own mint addresses so they end in pump. That's a vanity address too, and a quick one: about 11 million tries for a lowercase pump ending. Your word at the start is what sets your CA apart from every other coin on pump.fun.

Three ways to get a custom CA

WayBest forWhat it takes
solana-keygen grindShort words, if you like a terminalFree. Runs on your CPU, so six letters can take days. Then you need a launch tool that accepts your own mint keypair.
A browser generator3 or 4 lettersFree. Your browser tab does the work, so long words take days. Same launch step after.
notrandom.funAny length, launched for youA fixed price in SOL. We grind fast, deliver the mint key encrypted to your browser, and you launch here with one approval.

For a three or four-letter CA, a free tool gets it in seconds. From five letters, a laptop runs for half an hour, then days, then months, and that's where we come in. Grinding it yourself? Here's how to use solana-keygen grind, with a calculator for your word.

How long a custom CA takes

Each extra letter makes a match about 58 times rarer. Here's the average number of keys for each example, and how long a laptop would take:

CACapitalizationKeys on averageOn a laptopat 100,000 keys a second
…pumpExact11.3 million2 minutes
Moon…Exact195 million32 minutes
NTRNDM…Exact656 billion76 days
HoLy…ShitExact37 trillion12 years

Exact odds for Solana's address format. The laptop speed is a rough figure; your machine may differ.

We grind on GPUs and price your exact CA as you type, with a time range, before you connect a wallet. Longer CA? Let any capitalization match, or keep the ending short, and the price drops.

Launch with a custom CA, step by step

  1. Pick how your CA starts and ends on the pump.fun launch tab. The price in SOL and the time estimate update as you type.
  2. Pay in SOL. Your browser checks the payment before your wallet sees it: the right amount, to our address, for your order, and nothing else.
  3. Set up your coin while we grind: image, name, ticker, socials and an optional dev buy.
  4. Review and launch. When your CA lands, check the whole package and approve once. Your browser checks the pump.fun transaction, signs it with your mint key, and your wallet sends it. Your dev buy goes in the same transaction, so you're the first buyer of your own coin.

Keep your mint key safe until launch

Before launch, anyone holding the mint key could create a token at your address first. Launch soon after it lands, and treat the key like a password until you do. After launch, pump.fun's program controls your coin, not the key, so it's mostly a souvenir. Here's how we protect your key on the way to you.

Questions

Does a custom CA cost more to launch on pump.fun?

No. pump.fun charges the same to create any coin. You pay for the grind once, in SOL, at the price you see before you order.

Can my CA start with my word and still end in pump?

Yes. Type your word as the start and pump as the ending, like Degen…pump. The ending costs about the same as four more letters, and the price shows it as you type.

What characters can a CA use?

Letters and the numbers 1 to 9. Solana addresses are base58, which leaves out 0 (zero), O (capital o), I (capital i) and l (lowercase L). If any capitalization is fine, o, i and l match their other case.

Does a custom CA stop copycat coins?

It makes yours easy to recognize. A copycat can take your name and ticker in seconds, but copying a long custom CA takes the same grind you paid for. Holders should still check the full address before they buy.

Your turn

Your coin belongs on the leaderboard.

Pick how your CA starts and ends, like HoLy…Shit. We find it, you pay in SOL, and you launch on our site with one wallet approval. Your coin joins the leaderboard as soon as it's live.
