How to create a coin on pump.fun

Creating a coin on pump.fun is free: connect a Solana wallet, fill in a name, a ticker and an image, and approve one transaction. You pay only the Solana network fee and a small deposit for the coin's accounts. Here's every step, what each choice does, and how to launch with a CA that spells your word.

From pump.fun's fee page, last updated October 8, 2026. pump.fun can change them.

A custom CA from us is the only extra, and only if you want one: a fixed price in SOL that you see as you type, before you connect a wallet.

Step by step

  1. Connect your wallet. The wallet that launches the coin is its creator and earns its creator rewards.
  2. Name it and pick a ticker. The name is what people see on pump.fun; the ticker is what they type. Both are permanent.
  3. Add the image. On our form you can use PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, crop and zoom it to a square, and your browser re-encodes it, which strips hidden location data from photos.
  4. Write a description and add your socials. Both are optional, but buyers check them: a website, an X account and a Telegram group.
  5. Pick a pair. Most coins trade against SOL. On our form you can also pair with USDC, with NTRNDM, or with another token pump.fun accepts. Pair with NTRNDM and we send part of your order's price back in SOL once your coin is live, whenever the form offers it.
  6. Choose who gets the creator rewards. You, by default, or your coin's holders. Sending them to holders is for good: you can't switch back after launch.
  7. Add a dev buy, if you want one. It's your own first purchase, in the same transaction that creates the coin, so you're the first buyer of your own coin.
  8. Review and approve once. Your coin is live on pump.fun's bonding curve the moment the transaction lands, and trading starts straight away.

On pump.fun's site or ours?

Both launch the same kind of coin on pump.fun's own program, with the same bonding curve, fees and rules. The difference is the address and what happens around it.

If the address doesn't matter to you, pump.fun's own page is free and quick. If you want a CA people remember, like HoLy…Shit, get your CA here and launch in the same flow. Here's how a custom pump.fun CA works.

Before you press Launch

Everything below is permanent once the transaction lands. Check off each one as you go:

On our form you can change anything until you press Launch, and your draft survives a reload. Here's how your browser checks the launch before you sign.

After launch

Your coin trades on its bonding curve: every buy raises the price and every sell lowers it, with no order book. When buys fill the curve, the coin graduates and pump.fun moves its liquidity to PumpSwap, where trading carries on. Creator rewards build up on every trade, and you can share them with other wallets or charities from your coin's pump.fun page.

Questions

Is it free to create a coin on pump.fun?

Yes. pump.fun charges no platform fee to create a coin. You pay the Solana network fee and a small SOL deposit for the coin's accounts, plus any dev buy you choose.

Can I change my coin's name or image after launch?

No. The name, ticker and image are part of the token's metadata on Solana, and they can't change after launch. Check them on the review screen before you press Launch.

What is a dev buy?

Your own first purchase of your coin, in the same transaction that creates it, so nobody can buy before you. It's optional, and it spends SOL, or your pair's token, from your wallet.

What happens when a coin graduates?

When buys fill the bonding curve, pump.fun moves the coin's liquidity to PumpSwap automatically, for a 0.015 SOL fee. Trading carries on there.

Can I choose my coin's contract address?

Not on pump.fun's own create page, which gives every coin a random address ending in pump. We grind a CA that starts with your word, then you launch it on our site with one approval.

Your turn

Your coin belongs on the leaderboard.

Pick how your CA starts and ends, like HoLy…Shit. We find it, you pay in SOL, and you launch on our site with one wallet approval. Your coin joins the leaderboard as soon as it's live.
